Owner and operator of Advantage Repairs, Derek Cathers, grew up close to Whistler B.C. on beautiful Vancouver Island. Relocating to Whistler over 10 years ago fostered a strong desire to play outside and create lasting relationships with local businesses and friends alike. Previously a red seal heavy equipment technician for almost 15 years, Derek’s strong passion for exemplary customer service and quality workmanship are his primary reasons for founding Advantage Repairs.
Derek’s industry qualifications, service-related experiences, and impressive attention to detail are what drive his passion for serving the Sea to Sky communities he loves. While there is no certification for “Jack of All Trades” technicians, Derek’s history of service, leadership, and maintenance-related courses make Advantage Repairs the perfect solution for your everyday maintenance needs.
